The Daviess County Health Department is committed to ensuring

that residential septic systems are being installed and maintained by

all county residents.  Through requiring application for a residential

septic system permit PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION and installation by a

certified installer the Health Department can better insure that residential

septic systems are upholding the requirements as set forth in

Indiana’s Rule 410 IAC 6-8.1

The Daviess County Environmental Health Services Staff are available

Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm to assist Daviess County

Residents in obtaining information regarding septic system requirements and

concerns, including Septic System Permits and System Inspections.

Below are the links to residential septic system information pages.

It is best to contact our department by telephone prior to visiting as the staff is

out of the office conducting field work on a regular basis.
